Accessibility statement for this website
This statement covers the CandidAccess marketing website. It doesn't cover the CandidAccess app or the reports it produces.
Our target
We aim for this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We have not had it independently audited, so we don’t claim that it conforms.
What we’ve done
- Semantic HTML with landmarks, a logical heading order and a “skip to main content” link
- Designed for full keyboard use, with a clearly visible focus indicator
- Text and interface colours chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast
- Text that resizes and reflows down to small screens without loss of content
- No content that moves, flashes or autoplays; smooth scrolling is turned off if you prefer reduced motion
- Descriptive link text, and no important information shown only in images
- No scripts, no cookies, and no third-party content
How we test
- Automated checks with axe-core on every page, at desktop and mobile widths, before each release
- Automated keyboard focus checks on every page: the skip link works and every focusable element shows a visible focus indicator
- Reflow checks at a 320 pixel wide viewport (equivalent to 400% zoom)
We check our own pages with automated tools, including keyboard focus checks, and we don’t treat that as proof of conformance. Automated checks find only a portion of accessibility barriers. We haven’t yet tested this website with assistive technologies. TBD: screen reader testing plan
Known limitations
- The privacy and terms pages are placeholders.
- We haven’t yet tested this website with users who rely on assistive technology.
