About CandidAccess

What is CandidAccess?

CandidAccess runs honest weekly accessibility checks on your clients’ sites, with reports under your agency’s name. It’s automated monitoring built for web agencies. It checks the pages you approve on a regular schedule, keeps track of what changed, and produces reports you can forward to clients with your own branding.

Who is it for?

Web agencies and freelancers who look after a handful to a few dozen client sites and are getting asked about accessibility, including the European Accessibility Act (EAA).

Will CandidAccess make my site (or my client’s site) compliant?

No, and no automated tool can. Automated checks find only some accessibility barriers, and many issues need a person to review them, often someone using assistive technology. CandidAccess is a monitoring tool. It isn’t an audit, a certification or an overlay, and it doesn’t change your site. Every report says plainly what was tested, what needs manual review, and what wasn’t tested.

Do you offer a certificate, badge or accessibility score?

No. Automated results can’t establish compliance, so we don’t issue certificates, badges, grades or scores that suggest otherwise.

How it works

How does scanning work?

You add a client and their site. CandidAccess suggests pages from the homepage and sitemap, and you approve, add, remove or reorder them. Nothing gets added to monitoring without you. Each approved page is then checked on a regular schedule in a real Chromium browser using axe-core, a widely used open-source accessibility testing engine.

When you add a site, you confirm that you’re authorized to monitor it. Before every scan, CandidAccess re-checks the site’s robots.txt. Each scan runs in an isolated, disposable browser on a separate scanner server that has no access to your account data or our database.

How often are sites checked?

Every week, on the pages you’ve approved. There is no on-demand “scan now” option.

How many sites and pages can I monitor?

Plan limits will be published with pricing. TBD: plan limits

What do the reports include?

Each report includes:

You get the same report in HTML and PDF; very large reports are summarized in the PDF. Content inside embedded frames from other websites is marked as partially tested, never as passing. Pages that fail to load are never shown as passing.

Can I put my agency’s branding on reports?

Yes. HTML and PDF reports can carry your agency name, logo, primary colour and contact line. TBD: whether any CandidAccess mark appears on client reports

Do my clients need an account?

No. Your clients don’t log in. Your team downloads the report and sends it to them.

Will I know when an issue comes back?

Yes. CandidAccess tracks each finding over time and flags issues that return after they were gone. The dashboard shows a trend across your portfolio. Weekly summary emails about returned issues are planned. TBD: whether alert emails are live at launch

Can CandidAccess check pages behind a login?

Not at this time. CandidAccess checks publicly reachable pages only, and it respects each site’s robots.txt.

Does CandidAccess change or fix my site?

No. It reads pages the way a visitor’s browser would and reports what it finds. It doesn’t inject scripts, apply fixes or act as an overlay.

Do you offer an API, SSO, or integrations like Jira or Asana?

Not at this time.

Data, privacy and hosting

Where is my data stored?

CandidAccess is hosted in EU data centers (Frankfurt, Germany), with encrypted backups in the EU.

Who can see my reports?

Only members of your organization, plus a small number of CandidAccess operators where needed to run and support the service. Each agency’s data is separated at the database level, and reports are stored as private files that are never publicly linked.

How long do you keep scan data and reports?

Reports and raw scan data expire on a set schedule, and a compact weekly history is kept for trend charts. We don’t keep full-page copies or screenshots of your clients’ sites by default. Findings and reports include short code excerpts of the affected elements so your team can locate them. TBD: retention wording

Can I export my data or delete my account?

TBD: data export and deletion process

Pricing and getting started

How much does it cost?

Pricing is coming soon. Early-access members will hear about it first. See the pricing page. TBD: pricing, EUR display and VAT

CandidAccess is in early access. Request early access and we’ll be in touch.

Support

How do I get help?

I think a finding is wrong. What should I do?

Automated tools can flag something that isn’t a real barrier, or miss something that is. You can mark a finding’s status in triage to record your team’s decision. If you think the engine got it wrong, email us with the page URL and the finding and we’ll take a look.

Want to try it on your client sites?

We're preparing for launch and opening early access to a small number of agencies.
